In 2000, a live version of the song 2001 was recorded at a concert for the compilation-CD "Come out and play". The show was attended by Lars Tengroth from Playground Music and he ended up slightly blown away by the perfomance. Shortly afterwards Fake Moss were recording demos for the afore mentioned label. The expected co-operation sadly ended in nothing, except for two demo-songs: "It's you against the city tonight" and "Too close to myself". After finishing these sessions, 50% of the band was replaced. Johan Sjöblom entered the configuration after his previous band [prune.] split, replacing 6 strings with 4 as the new bass player of Fake Moss (he was also Erik's neighbor prior to these events). A new drummer took over the sticks when Dag Nemeth left them: the hard-hitting musical vagabond Kim Weider. The morph resulted in big things. With a tighter rythm section the band now developed in a harder direction; old songs received new life and new harder songs were added. All without compromising the originallity or the depths of either the lyrics or the compositions. |
